International high school exchange students are coming to study in the Eureka area during the 2008-09 school year, and are looking for host families in the Eureka area.
STS Foundation, a nonprofit student-exchange organization, has helped facilitate these relationships for the past 20 years.
Students like Victor, who is a 16-year-old boy from Jaboticabal, Brazil. He enjoys playing soccer and tennis and says he is very interested in learning about the American way of life.
Stephanie is a 16-year-old girl from Budelsdorf, Germany, who loves playing soccer and studying foreign languages. She says she is excited to experience the “school spirit” of an American high school.
They are both excellent students and will have their own spending money and health insurance.
The host family provides a separate bed, family meals and a safe environment. Anyone interested in being a host family is asked to phone Lillian at 800-522-4678 or e-mail her at lillian@stsfoundation.org and to visit www.stsfoundation.org.
