Dear Editor,

I am writing this letter of appreciation and thanks to all of the wonderful students and parents I have been in contact with over the last 34 years as a teacher at South Bay Elementary School in Eureka.

I have spent over half of my life working for the students in this wonderful school.

My decision to retire this year was not made lightly and there will be a big gap in my life, but I know that my wonderful, happy memories of those many students over the past 34 years will keep me quite entertained in my retirement years.

I also thank all of the many other people and friends that I have worked with in the South Bay Union School District. It has truly been a special place to work and I will miss all of you.

Again, thank you all for letting me teach the children of South Bay School. It was a lifelong passion fulfilled.
