Dear Editor,

When I wrote my recent letter supporting the idea of multi-lingual communication in the U.S. Government, I did not realize that I would be perceived as a supporter of illegal aliens.

I support the idea of ever-increasing our country’s ability to communicate and cooperate with (not dominate) the rest of the world. I support actions both within and beyond our borders toward that ideal. I do not support the idea of illegal aliens, from any country, using our health and education systems for their gain at our loss.

I never said that English should not be our national language. I never said our country should be bilingual. I said we are multi-cultural and meant multi-lingual as well.

I hope that I have clarified what I meant to say the first time.
