Each year, Key Club International recognizes individual Key Clubs for their Single Best Service Project. Clubs compete with other clubs of similar size within four membership categories. Entries are based on the accumulated total points in the categories of service need, project plan, project implementation, final result, public awareness, and member participation.
Key Club of Humboldt County Homeschoolers entered their Relay for Life service project, which raised $5000, in the contest for California-Nevada-Hawaii District with over 520 clubs. They received First Place in their division and received special recognition at the District Convention in April in Sacramento.
Their entry will be sent on to compete with other first place entries in districts at the International Convention in July in Colorado.
